Privacy Policy

Trivot is a free daily word game at playtrivot.com. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

If you play without an account: your scores and streak are stored in your browser only. We don't receive them. We do see basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages loaded) like every website.

If you create an account: your email address, the username you choose, and your play history (which puzzles you played, your stars, hints, reveals, streaks, and when you played).

If you sign in with Google: we receive your email address and the name on your Google account. We don't see your password or anything else in your Google account.

How we use it

To run the game. That's it. Your email lets you sign in and recover your account. Your username and scores power the leaderboard. Your play history powers your stats page and streak.

We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't send marketing email unless you opt in, and right now there's nothing to opt in to.

What's public

Your username, your rank, and your daily score appear on the public leaderboard. Anyone can see them. Your email is never public. If you don't want to appear on the leaderboard, turn off "Show my username on leaderboards" in your profile. Your rank still counts, your name is hidden.

Who else touches your data

• Supabase hosts our database and handles sign-in.
• Google handles sign-in if you choose Google.

Both of them store data on servers in the United States and has its own privacy policy. We don't use analytics tools beyond basic server logs. If that changes, this page will say so.

Cookies

We use one cookie or local storage key to keep you signed in and one to remember your progress if you play without an account. No tracking cookies, no ad cookies.

Deleting your account

Go to your profile and tap "Delete my account." That removes your email, username, play history, and stats from our database. It can't be undone. Your browser-only data (if you played without an account) can be cleared by clearing your site data in your browser.

Kids

Trivot is for people 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. Accounts that appear to belong to someone under 13 will be removed.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and note it in the game.
